About HEART

HEART (Hope Empowers All Reaching Together) is a community support driven nonprofit focused on addressing food insecurity and building long-term support systems for individuals and families in need.

Founded in Texas and expanded into Missouri & Ohio, HEART was created from firsthand experience with hardship and a deep desire to help others.

Our founders have personally experienced food insecurity and financial hardship, giving them firsthand understanding of the challenges many families face. From stretching meals to last days to navigating difficult financial situations, these experiences shaped the foundation of HEART.

Before becoming an organization, our founders spent years supporting those around them. Helping with transportation, connecting people to opportunities, and providing community support wherever possible.

That passion grew into formal service through community support programs like AmeriCorps, where work included community engagement on a Native American reservation, disaster recovery efforts following Hurricane Ian, and rebuilding homes in Houston years after Hurricane Harvey and Winter Storm Uri.

These experiences reinforced one belief:
Communities are strongest when people show up for each other.

Growing to Meet More Needs

HEART began with a simple but impactful focus, providing food & community support to families facing food insecurity but as community needs evolved, so did our mission. As the organization grows, the vision expands to include broader community support, and other programs that strengthen communities long-term. Today, we are expanding beyond food to provide clothing support, essential resources, and broader community support based programs.
As we grow, we remain committed to building sustainable systems that allow us to serve more communities with consistency and care. We are building something meant to last, something that grows with the needs of the people we serve.
